Registered Acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine Practitioner
All my life I’ve always had a passion for nature, health and helping people. I studied Biology and Psychology at the University of Toronto and was often questioned why I studied 2 very unrelated majors. I learned a lot about plant & animal life and human behaviour & environment, however, it wasn’t until I was introduced to Chinese Medicine at Toronto School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TSTCM) and Institute of Traditional Medicine (ITM) where I finally bridged the gap.
The application of natural remedies, from plants, roots, leaves, flowers and animal parts to understanding and treating the human body as a whole and how it relates to one’s environment was the main premise of Chinese Medicine. This is was what solidified my career path. My purpose was to help as many people as I could achieve optimal health naturally and to prevent major illness before it starts by finding the underlying root cause and not just treating the physical symptoms.
In my practice, I use Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnostic tools such as Tongue and Pulse Diagnosis and Meridian Palpation to identify where your blockages may be. Depending on what you need, I use a combination of Acupuncture, Fire Cupping and Nutritional & Herbal Medicine to bring balance back to the body so it can amplify its own healing capacity.
Working at Chiropractic First Natural Health Group has inspired me to actively reach out to the community and spread the importance of natural health, disease prevention and lifelong wellness. It is my greatest honour to be a part of the Chiropractic First Family and I am happy to have found a clinic that shares the same vision and mission as I do.
